InitiaLit is an evidence-based whole-class literacy program providing all children with the essential core knowledge and strong foundations to become successful readers and writers. InitiaLit is a three-year program, covering the first three years of school (Kindergarten to Year 2)
The Year 1/2 blue group for InitiaLit has been working incredibly hard this term and their efforts are definitely paying off.
During their recent cumulative review, completed last week, they were tested on their understanding of reading and writing containing sounds and tricky words they've been learning over the last 3 terms. The test was out of 150 words and the children's scores ranged from 83-97% with most children scoring above 90%.
A huge congratulations to William, Romi, Roman, Liam and Carmella for their fantastic results and for showing such dedication and enthusiasm in their learning each and every day. Their hard work and persistence is such an inspiration to everyone. Keep up the amazing effort blue group, you're setting such an amazing example for others to follow!
