Wednesday 9th April - Lenten Reconciliation in preparation for Easter
4pm – 6pm, St Patrick’s, Macksville
In the mornings students practice writing their name. They are developing their fine motor skills by writing their name, colouring (in photo colouring 'Jesus is my good shepherd') and sorting objects in colours and shapes.

In Maths students are learning numbers in order, counting patterns and counting to 10.

Kinder are reading a book called Farmer John's Tractor. From this book students have been learning how to talk in a full sentence, clap syllables and use rhyming words.
Students also selected a part from the story and created an artwork about it with a sentence to accompany their artwork about the book.
Class 1/2 have been so busy doing a little bit of everything! Maths, literacy, writing and art! Class 1/2 have been going so well with their work that they have earnt a class 'Dojo' excursion to the Bowraville Park for all the hard work they have put into their work this term!

Cooking with Miss Rachael and Miss Brooke.

On Tuesday 1st April students visited the McKay's dairy farm at Blackberry Lane, Bowraville. The Mckay's entertained students showing them all aspects of the dairy farm. Students were able to see how big a tractor actually is. Here they are photographed next to the wheel of the tractor. They are huge!
Next Tuesday will be Miss Mel's last day with St Mary's. Miss Mel has been a big part of our St Mary's family over the last 5 years.
Mel has worked incredibly hard in her time at St Mary's to create trusting, caring relationships with all of our students, staff and community. Mel will be commencing a new job in Coffs Harbour.
Thank you Miss Mel for bringing your shining light to our school, and know when you leave our lights will shine brighter because of you and your dedication and love shown to all of us.
This year St Mary's will be holding our Easter Hat parade at school on the 10th April the last day of school for students. Firstly we will be holding a community breakfast @8am and would like to invite all family, friends and community to come and share breakfast with us. The breakfast will be followed by the easter hat parade and easter raffle.
We encourage students to make their hats at home, however if this can't be done they can make a hat at school.
Raffle tickets are still for sale. If you need more books please contact the office.
WE ARE STILL SEEKING DONATIONS. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE OR A BUSINESS THAT WOULD LIKE TO DONATE (NOT JUST EGGS, BUT OTHER ITEMS OR VOUCHERS) PLEASE ASK THEM TO GET IN TOUCH.
For families interested in joining in on the community easter hat parade through the Bowraville main street please see the flyer in the Community Notices section in this newsletter for details.
