Term 1 Week 6.
Giinagay Families,
It is hard to believe that we are over the half way mark of Term 1. This week we have celebrated so many of our amazing children with both sporting and academic achievement.
This week we also welcomed our newest student, Tarryl Gordan to Kindergarten. Tarryl has settled in well and the other students in the K/1 room have been busy looking after him and making sure he is settled and happy!
COVID
Please be reminded that students and staff CANNOT attend school if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
If a student is unwell, displaying any COVID-19 or cold and flu-like symptoms at any time, they CANNOT attend school and should undertake a rapid antigen test. COVID is currently very active in our school community. If you need more rapid antigen tests, please let the school know and we can arrange for some to be sent home.
NAPLAN
This week, parents of both Year 3 and Year 5 students should have received your NAPLAN Parent information and our school testing timetable. A reminder that NAPLAN is a point in time assessment. At St Mary's we rely on many different modes of getting to know and understand our children's abilities, NAPLAN is just one of these and nothing to put pressure on our student's about.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
Just a reminder to our families to please let the school know as early as possible if there is a change to your child's drop off point in the afternoon. The afternoon's are extremely busy in our school so the earlier we know, the better. Parents are also reminded, that as a courtesy, to please let Uncle Dean know on 0484870574 if your child/ren does not need to be picked up in the morning.
Thank you for all you do in supporting our wonderful small school.
